When the MLS stadium was proposed, the amount of public money (with no raising of taxes of any kind to the people of Las Vegas, mind you) was microscopic compared to this plan. And the Las Vegas Review-Journal skewered the soccer stadium proposal. Fast forward a year and change and the same newspaper is now saying how this new plan is a "must-do"
Did we mention the man behind this plan is also the man that owns the Las Vegas Review-Journal? And is also worth near 25 billion dollars?
Las Vegas can certainly use a venue like this, no question. But the hypocrisy of folks being behind this yet being vehemently against the soccer stadium is just so blatant it's laughable.
Ok, next post will be better, honest. Oh wait, next post is going to be how the new PDL schedule is pure bs for the Mobsters. Alright, the one after that one will be nice. Promise.
